Following the exposé, Kenyans poured on social media where they called on the government to provide protection to the journalist. “Purity Mwambia should be given protection for exposing the rot in the forces entrusted to serve and protect the citizens of Kenya. Cops out here renting guns to thugs for as low as Ksh.5000 and bullets at Ksh.1000 each. Shame!” Diodio Muyesu commented.

“Citizen tv under cover journalist Purity Mwambia need Head of State Recommendation HSC. So daring lady,” Joseph Masya said.

“Purity Mwambia MUST be protected at all cost. This story as we know might not go well with those who are at the centre of this ping pong. System ya Majambazi. This is why some cases will NEVER be solved because those involved are also investigating,” Bravin Yuri said.
