Top Royal Media Services journalist and news editor Robin Njogu is dead. Mr. Njogu died on Tuesday night. He died a few hours after the death of his mother.
The cause of death was not immediately known, though it was reported that Njogu had been ailing. The journalist died while undergoing treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.
ICT cabinet secretary Joe Mucheru described Njogu as a consummate journalist. “I’m saddened to learn of the passing on of Robin Njogu and his mum. Robin was a consummate journalist and contributed heavily to the development of radio news in the country. Sad loss for his young family, RMS and the media fraternity in the country. May God comfort his family,” said Mucheru in his message of condolence.

“Gutted to learn about the demise of one of the most authoritative journalists in Kenya. Rest in peace, Robin Njogu. These are difficult times for everyone,” long serving journalist Saddique Shaban said.
At the time of his death, Njogu worked as the Managing Editor for Radio, at the Royal Media Services (RMS).
