Sharon Otieno Murder Case: The first day of the murder trial against Migori Governor Okoth Obado, who is accused of killing Sharon Otieno has left many in shock. This is after the government pathologist Johansen Oduor gave a shocking testimony of the brutal manner in which Sharon was murdered. Dr. Oduor gave his account before Justice Cecilia Githua.
Sharon, a Rongo University student, was found dead in a thicket where she lay in her blood-stained white tracksuit, with her underwear and condoms around her.
The slain university student was abducted from a Garca hotel together with NTV journalist Barrack Oduor. Mr Oduor later freed himself from the abductors by jumping out of a moving vehicle. Sharon was at the time of her death pregnant with Governor Obado’s baby.
According to Dr. Oduor, Sharon was stabbed seven times. The wounds under her left ear were the result of slashing, and that together with multiple others, caused the deceased’s skin to slip at the back. He added that her death was caused by excessive bleeding and strangulation. Dr. Oduor further told the court that her body was pale, an indication that she had lost a lot of blood.

To kill her foetus, Sharon’s assailants had stabbed her on the stomach with so much force that the knife penetrated and killed the baby. The court saw over 100 images that showed stab wounds that Sharon had suffered.
