Kitale musician Sheila Wairimu alias Shay Diva has been found guilty of stealing her dead sponsor’s Landcruiser V8. The struggling singer and socialite was arrested on July 2nd, 2021 on these allegations.

It is said that she was having an affair with her deceased Asian tycoon identified as PJ Dodhia Kumar. Kitale Chief Magistrate Julius N’garng’ar said Sheila Wairimu transferred vehicle ownership at a very questionable time, just a day after her man’s death.

Per multiple reports, Wairimu was accused of accessing PJ Dhodhia Kumar’s NTSA account after which she transferred the ownership of the high-end vehicle to herself.

He revealed that Shay Diva consistently blackmailed Dodhia Bhatt that she would disclose their illicit relationship to his wife, who lives in the UK. This is why she remained with the vehicle after his death in April 2021, aged 61.

In her defense, Sheila Wairimu said that the vehicle was transferred to her without her knowledge and she learned about this after accessing his NTSA account. She claims to have never attempted to illegally transfer ownership to herself.

According to records at the NTSA, Sheila Wairimu filed a transfer of the log book by logging into the TIMS account of deceased PJ Dodhia at 11:45 pm on April 26th, shortly after his death. The transfer was authorized at 2 pm the following day but there were no supporting documents from the owner.

When the tycoon’s family launched a complaint with the police, detectives tracked the middle-aged Sheila Wairimu to Kitengela and they towed the vehicle to Buruburu police station. She had attempted to block the detectives from pursuing the matter through her lawyer.
