A Tanzania bank is set to open branches in Kenya after securing an operating license. The bank known as M Bank has been widely associated with corporate and investment banking in the Tanzanian market. It mainly caters to large local family-owned businesses in Tanzania.

Bank M sets up camp in Kenya shortly after winning the best in corporate banking award during the 2016 Banker Africa Awards.

“The bank is most suited to its clients, backed by its unique service standard guarantee introduction for all products and services,” said Bank M’s chief executive officer Jacqueline Woiso. “Our bank was born out of a dream to dare to do banking in Africa differently, banking with the client at the heart of our business model. We were the first bank in the African continent to introduce service standard guarantees on all our products and services which,” she added.
