How you can now browse for days with just Sh. 100 on Telkom

Telkom Data Bundles

Getting affordable, and large data bundles in Kenya is not too easy. There are always limitations attached. If you get a large and cheap data bundle, its validity is limited to just a few minutes. But now, you can access up to 5 gigabytes worth Sh. 100 every Friday with a validity of more than a day.

This follows the launching of the Freedom Friday data package by Telkom Kenya. This new package is aimed at adding value to existing and joining customers. “We are providing a promotional bundle that provides a customer the chance to use our data proposition for at least 48 hours. We want our customers to get to experience the network across various places they might be in,” said Telkom in a statement on the new Telkom data bundles offer.

Apart from the Sh. 100 for 5gb data bundle, customers can also access up to 60 gigabytes at Sh. 1,000. This data package is valid for 1 month. Newly recruited customers will be eligible for the new Telkom data bundles. They can be sold either of these bundles by the Telkom shops and agents. Although regular existing customers will not have a menu option to subscribe for the bundles, they will be able to access the package by being subscribed through Telkom agents and shops.

Over the past few months, Telkom has been recording gains in the data and voice market. According to a data from the Communications Authority for the July to September 2020 period, Telkom’s market share of mobile data subscriptions increased significantly to 5.4 percent.

The telecommunications firm is also working to become the technological partner of choice in both corporate and small and medium enterprises sector. “We are making use of our extensive fibre network, to drive digital transformation by enabling public and private sector players to become smart entities, by way of technologies such as Internet of Things (IoTs), Cloud, Big Data and Analytics,” said Telkom.
