TerryAnne Chebet quits general manager job months after appointment

TerryAnne Chebet Job: Popular media personality TerryAnne Chebet has quit her top position as the general manager of the business oriented television station, Metropol. Ms. Chebet quit the position about a year after she secured the job.

The former business news anchor at Royal Media Station’s Citizen TV made the announcement on her social media page on June 30.

“Today (Tuesday, June 30) I say goodbye to my incredible team at Metropol TV. What an incredible journey it’s been! You have taught me the real definition of being a leader and what teamwork is,” she posted on Instagram.

“This wasn’t an easy decision to make, especially because of your dedication and commitment to getting the job done. Our commitment to telling the stories of mama Mboga’s, SME’s and startups has inspired me greatly and I will take this to my next journey,” she added.

Ms. Chebet further revealed that she will now dedicate her efforts towards entrepreneurship. “I deeply appreciate you all for your viewership, criticism and suggestions that helped us build the first 24-hour Business News Channel in Kenya.
