Lato Flavored Milk in Strawberry, Vanilla, and Chocolate variants was introduced later in 2018, and the company started operations in Burundi.

After government officials in Kenya complained about the dairy sector being monopolized by one player, Lato Milk was  permitted to invest in local dairy factories in Kenya. This led to their return to the Kenyan market.

Recently, Trade and Investments Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria had a meeting with Uganda’s Treasury Permanent Secretary Ramadan Ggoobi, where they agreed to work together to enhance the dairy sectors of their respective countries.

Lato Milk partnered with the Kenya Development Corporation (KDC), a state-owned financier, to form a joint venture and invest in dairy ventures.
