Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung’u is set to read the budget statement for the 2023/2024 financial year to Parliament on June 8.
In a statement, the CS invited members of the public to present their ideas and contributions on economic policy and tax measures from Kenyans for the FY 2023/24 Budget.
The treasury is seeking suggestions on Measures to accelerate economic recovery and enhance economic resilience.
The government also wants ideas on ways to bring down the cost of living, eradicate hunger, create jobs, expand the tax base, improve foreign exchange balance, and inclusive growth.
Other areas the ideas should be centered on are specific ways to accelerate recovery and growth of the private sector and MSMEs and how to foster a secure and conducive business environment to promote investment growth, business recovery, and job creation.
