The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) invites applications from qualified candidates to fill 20,000 teacher internship posts to support the implementation of Competency Based Curriculum.
Of the total vacancies, 18,000 are in junior Secondary Schools and 2,000 in Primary Schools.
The teachers’ employer is also seeking to absorb 26,000 senior interns into permanent and pensionable jobs effective 5th July 2024.
To qualify for the JSS internship opportunities, candidates must be Kenyan citizens and holders of at least a diploma in education with a minimum mean Grade of C+ (plus) and C+ (plus) in two teaching Subjects in KCSE or its equivalent.

In addition, one must be a registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission. Teachers from TVET institutions are encouraged to apply.
On the other hand, candidates looking for primary school teacher internship opportunities must meet various requirements, including being a Kenyan Citizen, holder of a PI Certificate, and registered teacher with the Teachers Service Commission.
Teachers with an Upgrade Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (CBC) will have an added advantage.
Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under “Careers”or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke not later than 18th July, 2024.
Successful candidates will be posted to serve at any primary or junior secondary school in the county where they were interviewed or in any part of the Country where the vacancy exists.
