The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced internship opportunities for qualified graduates to apply.
The 2025 TSC internship program aims to provide recent graduates with practical on-the-job experience, improve their competencies, and enhance their employability in an increasingly competitive job market.
The commission is seeking to recruit graduates to fill 30 positions in various fields, including Information Communication Technology (ICT) department (5), Human Resource Management & Development (10), Records Management (13), and Counselling (2) fields.
“In line with Government Internship Policy and Guidelines for the Public Service, the Commission intends to offer internship opportunity to qualified youth in various areas of specialization to gain practical work experience which will improve their competencies and competitiveness in their career life,” read part of the advertisement.
Minimum Requirements
Interested applicants must be Kenyan citizens aged between 21 and 35 years with a degree or diploma from a recognized and accredited institution.
Additionally, the applicants must have graduated within the last two to five years, be unemployed, and must possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct at the time of engagement.
TSC broke to hire 20,000 interns on permanent and pensionable terms
TSC will not consider applicants who have previously participated in an internship within the public sector.
The internship program will run for twelve months and interns are expected to be available for the entire twelve-month period without interruption, unless under unavoidable circumstances.
Selected Interns shall be required to have a valid personal accident insurance and medical insurance during the internship period.
While the positions are non-remunerative, TSC said that successful interns will receive a monthly stipend of Sh25,000.
