TSC Diploma Promotions: The Teachers Service Commission has announced promotion opportunities for some 1,000 diploma teachers in Kenya.The commission made the announcement via an advertisement. According to the advertisement, the TSC has vacancies for secondary teacher teacher 1, senior masterIV, deputy principal III, senior principal, deputy principal II and senior lecturer IV.
“Interested candidates who meet the required qualifications should make their applications online through the TSC website, www.tsc.go.ke so as to be received on or before February 9, 92021,” the TSC announced in the advert.
Applicants shall be required to upload the following documents during application.
a). Certificate of Registration as a teacher
b). Certificate of Good Conduct
c). Clearance Certificate by Higher Education Loans Board
d). Clearance Application from EACC
e). Clearance Certificate from a Credit Reference Bureau
g). Highest Academic Certificate
New guidelines TSC will be following when transferring teachers
The senior teach 1 under TSC scale 8 has 492 posts, senior master IV under TSC scale 9 has 363 posts, deputy principal III under TSC scale 11 has 72 posts, senior principal under TSC scale 14 has 15 posts, deputy principal II under TSC scale 12 has 30 posts, senior lecturer IV under TSC scale 9 has 28 posts. These posts will be filled in line with career progression guidelines for teachers, which means that teachers under the Kenya National Union of Teachers might be disadvantaged given that the union does not adhere to these guidelines.
