The Tuskys in The Community initiative, Githua added is geared at providing a platform to meaningfully connect further with our customers beyond business by touching their lives and alleviating social and economic challenges.

The project, which was launched in Nakuru County Sunday, dubbed: ‘Tuskys in The Community’ is designed to celebrate the legacy of the Late Tusker Mattresses Founder, Mzee Joram Kamau and will be rolled out at an estimated cost of Kshs 30 Million.

The initiative will prioritise programmes in areas of education and early childhood development among others.

Living to the charity begins at home mantra and in memory of Mzee Kamau’s passion for academic excellence, Tusker Mattresses has undertaken an extensive restoration of Lengenet Primary School in Rongai. All the classrooms at the Lengenet Primary School- where Mzee Kamau’s children first attended school- have been rehabilitated and equipped with new desks and related educational materials in a detailed makeover.

Tusker Mattresses Directors, led by Chairman Dr. John Kago Kamau Sunday presided over a colorful function organized to formally handover the firm’s donation of learning aids and related educational materials at Lengenet Primary School. The event was preceded by an inter-denominational thanks giving service at Tuskys Imani Branch, in Nakuru Town.

 

Speaking during the event, Tusker Mattresses Group CEO Mr. Dan Githua said the firm would continue rolling out the Tuskys in The Community initiative as a sustainable joint community impact programme featuring Tuskys staff, suppliers and customers wishing to make a difference.

The Tuskys in The Community initiative, Githua added is geared at providing a platform to meaningfully connect further with our customers beyond business by touching their lives and alleviating social and economic challenges.

“As an organization, we are investing more than Kshs 30 million to kick off the Tuskys in The Community platform which will afford us a structured path to make a difference in the society,” Githua said and added, “Through the initiative, we shall be living the values left behind by our founder Mzee Joram Kamau.”

The Tuskys in The Community’ initiative will also be staged in other regions in the country namely including; Nyanza, Coast, Thika and Meru.
