President Uhuru Kenyatta and his wife Margaret Kenyatta on Monday afternoon hosted president-elect William Ruto and his wife Rachel Ruto at State House.
The meeting came barely hours before President Uhuru hands over to Dr. Ruto following the conclusion of the 2022 election process.
The hand over of power will take place at the Moi Kasarani International Stadium on Tuesday September 13. The ceremony will see Dr. Ruto inaugurated as the fifth president of the republic of Kenya.
In the August General Elections, Dr. Ruto garnered garnered 7,176,141 votes, equivalent to 50.59 per cent of the valid votes.

He defeated former Prime Minister Raila Odinga of the Azimio la Umoja coalition who got 48.85 per cent of the valid votes, equivalent to 6,942,930 votes.
