Former President Uhuru Kenyatta has made his first public appearance since handing over power to his former deputy Dr. William Ruto.
The former president made the appearance when he held talks with the President of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference, Alok Sharma.
The meeting centred around the urgent need for countries to implement COP26 adaptation finance commitments.
“Great to speak to President Uhuru Kenyatta – Global Center on Adaptation Global Champion for Africa Adaptation. We discussed the urgent need for countries to implement #COP26 adaptation finance commitments,” said Sharma.
“I look forward to working together to strengthen resilience in climate vulnerable countries.”
The former president was this weekend slated to make an appearance in South Africa where he was scheduled to mediate between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray forces who have been at war for months.
