Uhuru’s Twitter, Facebook accounts deleted after corruption post

Uhuru’s Twitter Account: President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Twitter and Facebook accounts have been suspended.

This follows a post on corruption that was made on the two accounts.

The post read as follows:

“If you are corrupt we will fight you. You can be my brother or my sister or my closest political ally but if you are corrupt we will fight you. I won’t be clouded by ethnicity or status in my quest to leave behind a united nation and I will continue championing for Kenya’s unity.”

The post were made following what has been termed as unauthorized access by an unidentified individuals.

It was not immediately clear if the post had been made with the President’s greenlight or whether the accounts were suspended following public ridicule.

Here’s what was explained:

“On account of unauthorized access to the official social media handles of H.E the President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta .All official social media handles for the president have been temporarily suspended to allow for the necessary remedial measures to be undertaken.”

Over the recent past, Kenyans have been camping on the two social media handles with tons of comments rebuking the current economic mess that is seemingly being perpetrated by the Jubilee government. Some of the issues that have been of concern to to Kenyans have included corruption, unemployment, and ballooning foreign debts that can’t be accounted for.
