Wajackoyah was born in Western. He was abandoned by his parents after they divorced when he 16 years old. He found his way to Nairobi and became a street boy.

He was rescued from the street life by a well-wisher, who paid for his secondary education. He then proceeded to join St Peter’s Mumias Boys High School for his A-levels.


Wajackoyah joined the police academy and later the Kenya police where he rose to the rank of inspector. He left the service in 1990 and moved to the UK.

Wajackoyah then proceeded to study for Masters in Law of the USA at the University of Baltimore. He did his second Masters’s degree in Law (LLM) at SOAS University of London. He also did a third Masters’s degree in philosophy at Walden University.

He also holds a Masters of Laws Development at the University of Warwick, UK and Bachelor of Laws at Universities of Wolverhampton (UK).

He also has an Advanced Diploma in French at the University of Burundi, a Diploma in French from Kenya Institute of Administration Studied Economics & Refugee Law at World University Service United Kingdom.

Wajackoyah has a Postgraduate Diploma at Maastricht University. He has also studied Legal Practice Course LPC at the University of Westminster, UK,  a Certificate in Comparative Laws at the University of London School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS).

He also studied Post Graduate Diploma in Law at Kenya School of Law and Criminal/Civil Litigation at the American Heritage University of Southern.
