“I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey in 2018, coinciding with the electrifying atmosphere of the World Cup season. Located at Ekero Junction in Mumias, Kakamega County, Valu Valu quickly became a hub of excitement and entertainment.

When it came to choosing a name for the club, Shitandi wanted something that would resonate with the predominantly Ugandan revelers or those connected to the neighboring country.

In a stroke of inspiration, he recalled a hit song by Ugandan artist Chameleone called “Valuvalu,” where the singer expresses his love for a lady.

“In one of Chameleone’s songs, he expresses his deep affection for a lady he refers to as Valuvalu. Inspired by this theme of love, I decided to give the club a name that would evoke similar emotions.” Shitandi shared his rationale behind choosing the name for the club

Drawing from the sentiment of love conveyed in the song, Shitandi decided to name his establishment Valu Valu.

Before venturing into the world of clubs, he opened his first bar business in Kakamega, armed with a modest sum of Sh 60,000 .

The success of his initial endeavor, a club named HQ in Mumias town, fueled his ambition to expand further.

“With the inception of my entrepreneurial journey in 2016, I took a leap of faith by inaugurating a club called HQ in Mumias. The resounding success of this venture not only bolstered my confidence but also provided the impetus to expand my endeavors further. As a result, I subsequently ventured into opening multiple clubs in Kakamega.”

“And now, proudly joining the roster of my thriving establishments is the renowned Valu Valu club situated in Mumias,” he stated with conviction.

Shitandi asserts that Valu Valu club boasts top-notch amenities.

Among its offerings are a robust WIFI connection, ensuring that guests can stay connected in today’s digital age.
