Gikarati, his fellow actor stated that Wandahuhu is a legend on the screens have started an acting career decades ago. He further clarified that despite having been featured in so many movies, he has a role just like other characters and the payment “is not as much as you think.”

“For example, he may be given Ksh5,000 for the main movie role which is not consistent, it’s true he has much rent arrears,” Gikarati explained.

Gikarati also added that Frank could not depend on his sibling or family, because he was an only child to a single mother who passed away when he was just a three-month-old toddler. He has tried to contact his friend but to no avail.

Life has pushed him to the wall that most of his friends no longer pick up his calls because they are in ‘important meetings’.

Gikarati, speaking on the troubles local actors face, said that they are judged for living prime luxurious lives when in truth they are truly suffering.

“The truth is that behind these faces we see on TV every day, some of these people are going through a lot. It’s very possible to have a massive following and crazy fans who want a selfie with you yet you are struggling even to feed yourself. It takes a true fan to understand that being a celeb is not your net worth,” he said.
