Congestina Achieng, the Kenyan woman who made Kenya proud with her boxing skills and career, is now surviving in Siaya as a street girl.
A photo of Congestina that has emerged on social media has left many people in shock at the desolate state she has fallen into.
“Do u remember her my fellow Kenyans, our leaders must be ashamed they are now moving around with big cars giving out false promises to Kenyans while some of our heroes who made this country proud by putting our flag high in different countries, Conjestina Achieng is now a street girl who lives by begging with all the talent she heard?” a Kenyan who was identified as Rogers Mukolwe said when he shared her sad photo on social media.

Over the past few years, Congestina has been battling the tough combination of mental health and poverty.
“I met her recently in Yala and I just found myself crying, and we have politicians around I just lack words my God heal her.” a Kenyan who was identified as Maureen Osemba remarked.
Over the time Congestina has been struggling, it has baffled many Kenyans how the government has been silent despite taking pride in her accomplishments during her glory days in the 2000s through the Ministry of Sports.
