Raila Odinga has won the 2022 presidential elections, according to tallying results that are being shared by the Azimio coalition.
Raila was contesting under the Azimio La Umoja against Deputy President Dr. William Ruto who was contesting under the UDA party.

The results shared by ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna allege that Raila has crossed the 50 per cent mark and might score around 51.76 per cent while Dr. Ruto will manage around 47.28 per cent.
The Azimio figures translate to 6,703,549 votes for Raila and 6,099,766 votes for Dr. Ruto. These figures are yet to be verified as alleged by the Azimio political leaders.
According to Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati, the winner is expected to achieve 50 percent of the votes cast plus one vote, and 25 per cent in the majority of counties in order to be declared winner.
According to projections shared by Sifuna and other prominent Azimio leaders, Raila is expected to hit 6.7 million votes while DP Ruto is expected to hit 6 million votes.
