Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has shown a remarkable act of kindness by sponsoring the education of a young boy, Nicklaus Kiprotich.
Kiprotich had appealed for financial help from well-wishers to help him Join Kapsabet boys after garnering 424 marks out of the possible 500.
His plight caught the attention of Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, who offered to help.
“Babu Owino is a real leader. kalenjin leaders should emulate this. Give me this boy,” Babu Owino replied on a Facebook post.
Kiprotich’s admission letter, seen by TUKO.co.ke indicates the fee is KSh 26, 778, exclusive of other school items.
Babu Owino’s aid comes days after Nairobi governor Johnson Sakaja extended his good deeds to Busia County.
On Saturday, the county boss, while attending a burial in Busia, announced that he would pay school fees for a young boy who approached Him crying at the funeral.
During the funeral, Baraza, who had passed his KCPE with 354 marks, approached the Governor, crying and expressing his concern over a lack of funds for his education.
Governor Sakaja, moved by the boy’s situation, announced that he would sponsor Baraza for his entire secondary school and university education, stating, “Carlos Baraza is a blessed and brave young man. Carlos will go far in life. I will sponsor him for the entire 4 years of high school and university after that. God bless you, Carlos.”
Last year in October, the Governor also extended his arm of kindness and saved Deputy Rigathi Gachagua impersonator Zakaria Kariuki, alias KK Mwenyewe from deferring from his university studies.
Kariuki announced that Sakaja had cleared his tuition fee balance of Sh. 10,900 a day before the payment deadline.

“After I posted my issue on fees, many of my fans offered to help. I want to thank Sakaja for paying my fees. Thank you and God bless you all,” he said.
