She started selling Mitumba clothes while a student at Amboseli  Institute when she was studying community development and social work.

After completing her studies in 2013, she did not seek employment as her business was doing well. She started selling men’s wear and accessories at her shop in Ngara using the profits she got from the Mitumba business and a loan from Equity Bank.

Maluli settled on men’s wear as it had minimal competition since many shops specialized in women’s clothes. She would source the clothes in neighboring Uganda but later upgraded to Italy, Turkey, and China as she was more concerned about quality.

Besides dressing men, her company which operates under the name Devine Collection also offers personal shopping for families. It has several branches in Moi Avenue, Lavington, and Kilimani.
