KCB Football Club has appointed Bernard Mwalala as the new Head Coach, strengthening the technical bench ahead of the 2023/24 FKF Premier League season. This follows the expiry of Zedekiah Otieno’s contract at the Club.
Mwalala brings with him a wealth of experience and a strong track record both as a player and as a football coach spanning seven years in local and regional football assignments. Some notable clubs he has steered are Nzoia Sugar Football Club, Bandari FC, Homeboyz FC, and Ulinzi Stars, registering remarkable outcomes.
He will be assisted by Elvis Ayany as the Assistant Head Coach, Eric Muranda as the Fitness Trainer, and Samuel Okoth assumes the role of Goalkeeper Trainer. Collins Kyama and Michael Oyando will continue their roles as the team’s Physiotherapist and Team Manager.

During the unveiling ceremony, KCB FC Patron Azu Ogola said:

Mwalala’s entry opens an exciting chapter for the club as it looks to elevate its performance after it finished 5th in the 2022/23 FKF Premier League season.
“I am excited by the opportunity and fully committed to building a strong and competitive team that will deliver positive results on the field. I have a plan, we are going for the title next season and beyond,” He said.
