Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu is expected to release the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) results today.
The results, which are expected to be announced at Mtihani House in Nairobi, will be made accessible to all the candidates via SMS.
Once the results are announced, students, parents, or guardians will be required to send the candidate’s index number to 40054. The service costs Ksh25 per SMS.

The results will also be available on the KNEC online portal. While on the portal, click on the KNEC tab and select the year the candidate sat for the exams. Enter the index number, submit and the results will appear.
This year, at least 1,415,315 candidates sat for the KCPEÂ exam which began on October 30, 2023, and completed on November 1.
This was the last KCPE exam to be done in the country after 38 years of its implementation as the Education Ministry moves to replace the 8-4-4 curriculum with the Competency-Based Curriculum, which is a 2-6-6-3 system.
