Java House has opened three new locations in Thika, Kenol, and Kisumu. The restaurant chain aims to have 100 branches by early 2025 to provide better service to its customers.

The new Java House at Thika’s Vivo Energy station became the chain’s 95th branch, followed by the 96th at Kenol in Murang’a and the 97th at Kisumu Airport. These openings bring Java House closer to its goal of reaching 100 branches.

As part of its 25th anniversary celebrations, Java House has expanded rapidly this year, opening new locations in Voi, Lang’ata, and Loresho, as well as in Uganda, with branches in Muyenga and Najjera.

In addition to its expansion, Java House has also prioritized community support by partnering with Food for Education and the World Food Program to back local initiatives.

“As a business, we believe in empowering local communities. For each branch, we recruit close to 30 staff from the local communities, playing our part in driving job creation,” said Java CEO Priscilla Gathungu.

Having a Java in Thika not only provides leading dining options for the town but also signals a path towards growth driven by the growing investor confidence,” remarked Alfred Wanyoike, Chairman of the Thika District Business Association.
