Nairobi came alive on Wednesday evening as Dr Catherine Masitsa hosted a dazzling, Rio-Carnival-themed celebration to mark the ongoing rollout of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa, now streaming on Showmax.
The event, held at the opulent Castello Dell’Amore at The Anka House, brought together media, influencers, lifestyle personalities, and fans of the franchise for a night of glitz, colour, and Pan-African pride.
The celebration honoured Kenya’s standout stars Dr C and Zena Nyambu, who are representing East Africa in this first-ever continental edition of the Ultimate Girls Trip franchise.
Dr C, a luxury lifestyle entrepreneur and two-season cast member of The Real Housewives of Nairobi, has become a defining force in East African reality entertainment. Zena, who quickly captivated fans after joining Season 2, has carved her place as one of the franchise’s most refreshing new personalities.
Beyond the festivities, attendees were treated to an exclusive screening from the new series, offering a firsthand glimpse into the glamour, adventure, sisterhood, and drama unfolding under the Brazilian sun. From lavish settings to bold personalities, the preview left audiences buzzing with excitement for what the rest of the season holds.
The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Africa brings together powerhouse women from Kenya, South Africa, and Nigeria. Besides Zena and Dr C, the reality show also features South Africa’s Annie Mthembu, Angel Ndlela, Jojo Robinson, Madam Evodia Mogase and Christall Kay, alongside Nigeria’s Mariam Timmer and Princess Jecoco.

Produced by GOAT Productions, the series follows the success of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: South Africa, one of Showmax’s top-performing titles in 2024. Executive producer Graeme Swanepoel describes the new season as “a celebration of African womanhood in all its power, diversity and glamour,” while NBCUniversal Formats’ Barrie Kelly notes that it “brings together some of Africa’s most formidable Housewives for an unforgettable journey.”
The Nairobi event successfully captured this spirit; bold, vibrant, celebratory, and unapologetically African. With the show already streaming, fans can now fully immerse themselves in the drama and ambition that define this Pan-African adventure.
