The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) has partnered with LAC Africa in scouting for fresh business in the Latin America regions.
This week, KNCCI announced that it will be leading delegation to Brazil and Argentina in a five-day mission that was aimed at seeking trade and investment opportunities.
Interestingly, the mission came barely a year after KNCCI facilitated the first ever Latin America, Caribbean Africa business summit in Nairobi last year.
“The business mission led by KNCCI national chairman Kiprono Kittony will unlock trade, investment and cultural opportunities between Kenya Brazil and Argentina as entry points into the entire region, ahead of the second LAC Africa Business Summit in Argentina in October 2017,” KNCCI said in a statement yesterday.
The delegation will also attend the Expoagro trade fair in Argentina which is to be held between March 7 and 10.
According to The Chamber, which lobbies on behalf of Kenyan businesses, a memoranda of understanding, and design action plans for this year will be signed between it and the Rosario and Afro Brazil Chambers of Commerce.
A memorandum of understanding will also be signed with the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce.
This latest business pursuit comes after KNCCI pursued similar interests in India, where a memorandum of understanding was signed with the Indian chapter of the trade chamber.
