Airtel Kenya’s mobile money arm Airtel Money Kenya Limited has increased its transaction limit to Sh. 250,000 from the previous Sh. 150,000 per transaction.
This will be effective from 1st September 2023. The change in the per transaction limit comes after successful engagements with the CBK and against the backdrop of the recent review of daily transaction limits from Sh. 300,000 to Sh. 500,000.
Transaction charges for this band shall remain similar to those that were previously charged in the Sh. 70,001 – Sh. 150,000 band.
“With the increase of the per transaction limit, Airtel Money customers will experience convenience as they will not have to go through the hassle of breaking large transactions into multiple smaller transactions,” said Airtel Money Kenya Managing Director Anne Kinuthia- Otieno on the announcement of the revised per transaction limits.
She added that the incorporation of the 150,001-250,000 band of transactions without any further transaction charges is part of Airtel Money’s endeavor to empower customers with flexible and personalized solutions while at the same time delivering to them exceptional value for their money.
“That signifies our commitment towards convenience and affordability,” she said.
