Bank of the year: European global Banking and Finance Awards 2019 saw Kenya’s Credit Bank take home best SME partner Bank of the year in East Africa.
The European, over the last several years, has been celebrating achievement, innovation and excellence through its annual awards programme. The aim is to give corporate organisations an insight into various achievements within a range of organizations.
Credit bank has been on the forefront in its campaign towards the enabling the growth of SMEs in Kenya through its Entrepreneurship hub. The hub has looked at seeking in place systems and processes give businesses benefits such as being investor ready.
The European this year recognized organizations and individuals that stood out from the crowd, and are consequently moving their industries forward through good governance, innovation know-how, and quality of service were major considerations.
Some of the other banks in Africa that got awards are CRDB Bank a Tanzanian Bank which became of the Year as well as Innovation in Financial Inclusion and Social Responsibility bank of year in East Africa.
Credit bank was recently funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) for onward lending to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as Oiko Credit through a 1Billion buyout structure. The financier says the loans will be accessed by companies in the construction, agriculture, renewable energy and manufacturing sectors.
Credit Bank has established a platform that would benefit the entrepreneur in all challenges they face.
