Betty Kyallo joins KTN in lucrative deal months after losing K24 job

Popular media personality Betty Kyallo has joined KTN months after losing her ob at K24 Tv. Ms. Kyallo is now expected to make her second debut on KTN from March 7th, 2021.

Betty made announced her comeback through her Instagram. “She’s back! Told You It Wasn’t For Long. I Am So BLESSED. GRATEFUL TO GOD. March 7th,” she wrote a caption of her photo that was taken at the Standard Group offices along Mombasa Road.

Reports say that the Standard Group had been in talks with Ms. Kyallo over the past two months and she had principally agreed to return. Ms. Kyallo is said to have turned offers including one from the national broadcaster KBC, which is planning to rebrand. “She turned down the KBC offer as she had been categorized in a class of part-time employees known as ‘artistes’, which would have seen her paid per show,” a report in a local media news outlet said.

This will be Ms. Kyallo’s second stint at KTN, the station she quit to join MediaMax’ K24. Betty Kyalo had left K24 barely two years after she joined the station from KTN in a big money move. Amidst reports that she was fired at K24, Betty had last year come out to clear the air on why she left K24. The presenter who anchored the weekend show ‘Weekend with Betty’ cleared the air in an interview that was conducted by comedian Jalang’o on the ‘Bonga na Jalas’ YouTube show.

“I wasn’t fired. I’ve worked so hard to be my brand. I have built my brand with hard work, passion, commitment, and love. When I feel like either I’m not being appreciated enough najitoa,” Ms. Kyallo said.
