British-American Investments Company Limited (Britam) has marked the completion of structural works for its 30-storey Britam Towers in Upper Hill, Nairobi with a ‘Topping Up’ ceremony.
During the ceremony, Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero set the final slab on the building. Together with Britam Group Managing Director, Benson Wairegi, the Governor also signed a steel beam that will be erected on the building in indelible ink.
The ‘Topping Up’ ceremony, an ancient rite that marks completion of structural works, now paves way for the construction of the interior finish, as well as installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in the building. Britam Towers is slated for completion in mid-2016.
