Kenyan entrepreneur, leadership coach, and missionary Bruno Musumba recently discovered a remarkable connection with his estate’s security guard, Sammy Lepushirit.
As the pair had a casual conversation at their residential estate, Bruno was surprised to learn that they had both achieved the same KCSE grade in high school.
The conversation took an even more intriguing turn when the entrepreneur discovered that Lepushirit had scored an A grade in some of his subjects. Lepushirit is however unable to further his education despite his unquenchable thirst for it.
Financial constraints have dimmed his dreams, compelling him to seek employment in Nairobi after hustling in Samburu. This was how Sammy ended up as a security guard posted at Bruno’s estate.
“He finished high school in 2022! He says because of his background and family’s financial position, university or college is just a mirage,” Bruno wrote in his Facebook post.
Bruno shared that Sammy Lepushirit is an orphaned child from Samburu County. He has faced so many hardships in life at a young age.
However, Sammy is determined to save up enough to enable him to join University studies. In an exclusive media interview, Sammy noted that he wants to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Education.

He explained that he was only able to complete high school with the support of his aunt, who assisted with his school fees. Towards completing his high school education, his aunt was beginning her retirement journey.
“My aunt was the one who has been a pillar of support and learning. She instilled in me values such as hard work, being patient, honesty etc,” he said.
Touched by Lepushirit’s story, Bruno Musumba offered to support him in pursuing his university studies.
