Ms. Kangogo had been blamed for the death of two men, one of whom was a former police officer and the other a serving police officer. The first victim was killed in Nakuru while the other was killed in a lodging in Juja. The two men died from single gunshot wounds in the head.
A day earlier, on Wednesday, Caroline had spoken from her hideout and listed conditions for what appears to be her willingness to turn herself in. Corporal Kangogo had said that upon her turning herself in, she did not want to be detained at any police station. She said that she was afraid that her fellow police office officers might end up killing her to conceal evidence on what happened prior to the two murders for which she is accused of committing.
Investigations into the two murders reportedly committed by Kangogo have so far revealed that three other men might have been present during the first murder. Investigators have also said that Kangogo had met these three men together with the two victims hours before the first murder was committed. It is however not yet clear on what they discussed.
Investigators have also said that they are afraid some rogue police officers could be leaking information to her to aid her from police traps.
