How late Chairman Kibor divided billions among 4 wives, 26 children

The Will of the late billionaire farmer ‘Chairman’ Mzee Jackson Kibor has been revealed. In the Will, Chairman Kibor has been shown to have been worth over Sh. 1 billion in property and liquid cash.

He had over 5,000 acres of land in Trans Nzoia and Uasin Gishu counties, and other parcels scattered all over Eldoret. Out of these, his 15 sons will inherit 200 acres, while the 11 daughters will each get 100 acres.

His four wives will get an equitable share of his multi-million empire.

Kibor, however, only left part of his inheritance to one of his grandchildren, Kipchirchir Kibor – the son of Phillip Kibor, the tycoon’s eldest son.

The Will was read by lawyer Wilson Kalya in a session that lasted four hours.

“As a family, we largely agree with the details of the Will which Mzee, through lawyer Kalya, wrote in February last year. It means that the status quo remains and each member of the family now has a chance to digest and reflect on the contents of the Will,” said Philip.

He added the property, including land, and movable assets were shared based on his father’s four wives who will then share with their children.

“Those dissatisfied with the contents of the Will have an opportunity to go to court or use elders to raise any issue,” he said.

Chairman Kibor died on March 17 at an Eldoret hospital after a short illness.
