Digital Driving License: The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has launched issuance of digital driving licences at Huduma Centres. The NTSA has been holding day long issuance of the digital licences at various centres across the country.
The authority has been speeding up the issuance of the licenses following the long break that had been occasioned by the Covid-19 lock down.
The NTSA has been visiting various Huduma Kenya centers on a weekly basis where Kenyans have been getting the chance to get their digital driving licenses within a day.
Before you visit any Huduma Centre, the NTSA advises that you verify the exact dates its officers will be visiting and issuing the licences. This verification can be done by simply checking the NTSA Facebook announcements. You will also need to make a booking via your TIMS account and visit the centre.

How to Apply for a Digital Driving License:
STEP 1. Open your TIMS account through tims.ntsa.go.ke
STEP 2: Log into your account and go to the Driving Licence Section.
STEP 3. Click on Apply Smart DL and confirm the driving licence details provided. Request correction of information if necessary as all data will be corrected during the bio-metric capturing process.
STEP 4. Make payments and submit your application.
STEP 5: Select ANY available date in any centre. Carry your original ID card for identification and verification.
