Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday met with former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
This was the first meeting between Gachagua and Raila following the August 9 General Elections.
Although details on what the two leaders discussed remained scanty, Gachagua was quick to acknowledge that he had met Raila.
“We have tremendous respect for our senior citizens. I was delighted this morning to have a tete a tete with our senior citizen former Prime Minister Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga in Mombasa,” Gachagua said.

The meeting came a day after Raila, who was the Azimio la Umoja coalition presidential candidate, condemned the Supreme Court for upholding the election of Dr William Ruto as the fifth president of Kenya.
