Raila: We can lead million people march to kick out Supreme Court judges

Azimio la Umoja coalition leader Raila Odinga has jetted back into the country and heavily criticized the Supreme Court for upholding the election of Dr. William Ruto as the fifth president of the republic of Kenya.

Speaking in Mombasa during the inauguration of Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir, Raila said that his side can lead a one-million people march to the Judiciary to kick out the Supreme Court judges.

“We can lead a one million march to the judiciary and tell them to go home. We have a right as a people to not agree with bad rulings. Shame on the judiciary of this country. We will talk,” he said.

Raila, without providing any proof, alleged that the presidential election that was held on August 9 was interfered with by a Venezuelan, and rigged in favour of President Ruto.

“I am not talking as Raila Odinga. What the people saw happened on September 5 was a shock. Why should the people wake up early in the morning to wake up and vote?” he said.

“Why should people wake up to go queue and vote when Jose Camargo decides who will become president?”

Raila went on to describe the ruling by the Supreme Court as ‘foolish’.

“The judiciary should not threaten and blackmail Kenyans after the mess they have done. It is our constitutional right to say the ruling was foolish. It was not based in law,” he said.
