NAIROBI, Kenya Sep 4 – Billionaires Bill Gates, David Rockefeller and Strive Masiyiwa are expected in the country this week for a major Agriculture forum.
Nigeria’s Olusegun Obasanjo is also expected at the forum to be hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu has confirmed the three Billionnaires attendance of the summit but did not offer more details.
Gates is an American business magnate and entrepreneur who has been running various philanthropist work in Kenya where he recently lauded innovations by young Africans—including Kenyans—which he said are already changing the word.
His arrival and that of the two other billionaires in Kenya later this week is a confirmation of the strategic position the country holds in the region, having hosted a number of key international summits like the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and Sixth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-VI).
Rockefeller is a former American banker who served as chairman and chief executive officer of Chase Manhattan Corporation and is the oldest living member of the Rockefeller family and family patriarch since July 2004.
On the other hand, Strive Masiyiwa is a London-based Zimbabwean businessman, entrepreneur, and philanthropis
