Labour Cabinet Secretary Dr. Alfred Mutua has announced mass job opportunities for Kenyans in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
In a statement on May 23, 2025, the CS said the ministry is seeking to recruit boda boda operators, gardeners, and construction workers to fill 2,000 positions in the Gulf nation.
“Dubai jobs! Jobs! Jobs! 2000 jobs Available. First come, first served. Latecomers will not be considered,” Mutua announced.
The Ministry has outlined requirements for the job openings as well as interview dates and venues.
According to the advertisement, Motorcycle riders must be no older than 38 years, and must have either a motorcycle rider’s license or a valid driver’s license.
Additionally, all applicants must have a valid Kenyan passport or proof of a passport application. The CS advised applicants to be smartly dresses with closed shoes, maintaining that applicants with shabby dresscode will not be considered.

Motorcycle riders will earn between Sh80,000 and 120,000 per month, with medical insurance and accommodation provided.
On the other hand, gardeners will earn between Sh31,000 and 45,000 per month, along with medical insurance, accommodation, and food.
Meanwhile, construction helpers will earn Sh35,000 per month, and they will also be provided with medical insurance, accommodation, and food.
Interview venues and dates
The interviews are scheduled to take place over four days, from Monday, May 26 to Thursday, May 29, across Malindi, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Kwale.

CS Mutua noted that the interviews would be conducted on a “first-come, first-served basis,” urging applicants to arrive early and well-prepared.
Officials from various organizations including the Youth Fund, the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), and Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) will be on site to assist candidates with the application process.
Youth Fund officials will offer funding support for air tickets, medical expenses, service fees, and attestations.
Additionally, NTSA officials will ensure quality assurance and the licensing of motorcycle riders, while DCI officials will assist in processing Certificates of Good Conduct.
