Jamal Roho Safi: I have Sh. 320 million debt but I am not broke

Businessman Jimal Marlow popularly known as Jamal Roho Safi has come out to respond after allegations that he is not as rich as he purports to be on social media. This is after one of his wives, Amira, made allegations online that the businessman is hardly rich.

Jamal Roho Safi said that currently, he owes three banks a total of Sh. 320 million. “I owe Sh. 150 million in loans to a bank and another Sh. 80 million and another bank I owe Sh. 90 million. If you owe three banks that amount then you have a good income to sustain those loans,” he said.

He added that his current business ventures are adequate enough to service the loans he has accumulated. “A bank is not your mother’s house to check in and they will just front you the cash. They have to look at your net worth, assets and then decide to give you a loan,” he added.

The businessman said that he is proud of his rags to riches story. “I came from nothing. I was a makanga. No one raised me from there,” he said. “For me to be where I am with what I have right now, I did not get it from anyone.”

Every businessperson in this country that has a humble background, you have to take a loan to raise yourself to go higher,” the businessman who has been hitting the headlines said. “People are saying I have loans. Yes, I have loans even you personally kama unataka loan, enda kwa bank. And I pay them well.”
