KCPE 2020 Placement Results: 36,000 candidates to join National Schools

KCPE 2020 Placement Results: A total of 36,254 candidates have been selected to join national schools. This is according to the KCPE 2020 placement results that were released today. Out of this number, 17,406 will be girls and 18,848 boys.

The results also show that 201,067 learners have been posted to extra-county schools, 95,646 being girls and 105,431 boys. 213,591 candidates will attend county schools; 115,325 girls and 98,256 boys, while 718,516 are set to join sub-county schools- 357,029 girls and 361,487 boys.

While releasing the results, Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha said that the candidates who have been selected will join Form One on August 2, 2021. “Poor selection guidance made many of the candidates miss their preferred selection,” Magoha said. He called on headteachers and parents to help learners in selection process as the competition for top schools was competitive.

The KCPE 2020 candidates will access the results through the NEMIS portal (National Educational Management Information System). Candidates will have to login or register if new, in order to access the information posted by the Education Ministry.

How to check KCPE 2020 Form One selection results

In addition, candidates and their parents will be able to check their form one placement results via a a USSD code once the selection results are released.
