The schools that excelled in the 2025 KCSE exam results can now be listed following the release of the examinations by the Cabinet Secretary for Education Julius Ogamba on Friday, January 9, 2025.
The schools that produced the best performances and their mean scores are as follows:

The 2025 KCSE exam results had 1,932 candidates who scored the highest ranked grade of A Plain.
At the same time, 507,131 candidates scored the mean grade of C- (Minus) and above. Another 634,082 students scored the pass grade of D+ and above.
268,783 candidates obtained the mean grade of C+ while 236,416 obtained a mean grade of C Minus. 126,951 scored a mean grade of D Plus.
An astonishing 359,144 candidates took home the low ranked grades of D Plain, D Minus, and E.
In total, there were 492,012 boys who sat the national exams and 501,214 girls who sat the exams.
