Monica Ndeda: Please help me bury my killer hubby who poisoned, killed our babies

Monica Ndeda has been married to Ronny Nyore for over 10 years. On her wedding day, she solemnly swore by the bible and said the words ‘for better and for worse’. She would’ve never expected her hubby to turn into a cold-blooded killer dad.

Last week on Tuesday, Ronny had felt that life wasn’t getting pretty for him, and he thought what better way to end it all, than suicide? Except, he also had to kill his children to feel at ease before dying.

Ronny Nyore and Monica Ndeda met in Kisumu a decade ago. They agreed to start a family. Ronny worked at a milling plant while Monica was an employed cleaner at Kisumu airport.

Monica was blessed with four children. She had a happy marriage, though dramatic toward the end. Her firstborn daughter is 9 years, followed by another girl aged 5 years old. She was blessed to have twins who were 3 years old.

Ronny Nyore poisoned his children and stab their stomachs, and then after took the poison, which sealed his fate on earth.

In 2020, due to the 2020 pandemic, Ronny lost his source of income and this spelled the onset of his dead marriage. Ronny Nyore was suffering from diabetes and his productivity at work had declined, forcing his bosses to cut the cords.

During this period, Monica had just given birth to her twins and she was still breastfeeding them. With the high cost of living, life became a challenge for the family since Ronny was the breadwinner.

The family was forced to relocate to their rural home where they would have little to no stress about rent and other expenses, albeit food still being an issue. Monica decided to chip in and help her husband who seemed to fail immensely at landing a job.

“I sourced some money to start a business. I sold vegetables which I used to support my family,” she said.

One day, Ronny attacked his wife and beat her up to a point that she was temporarily crippled. This only worsened the situation in the family.

“He hurt my leg. I could not walk for six months,” she says.

Things escalated and Ronny began to send threatening messages to her. Even after this, Monica decided to remain truthful to her wedding vow and stay with her hubby.

She would avoid the feud by sleeping at her neighbor’s home from time to time. She had reported her husband to the area assistant chief but he advised her to seek help at a children’s office, where they would get the services of a mediator.

A little while later, Monica received a rather surprising message from her husband.

“I got a text message from him thanking me and telling me goodbye. I could not understand what he meant until I found him dead,” she said.

On going home after receiving a summoning letter from the mediator, she found that the door was locked from the inside.

She forced her way into the home and found that her children’s bellies were slit wide open with a knife. He lay dead between the four minors, with two on each side.

“I did not imagine he could take his life,” says the widow.

All the children were still alive and breathing despite having lost lots of blood. They were rushed to a local hospital and doctors tried their best but the 3-year-old twins succumbed on Wednesday night.

Doctors say the condition of the other two daughters is improving though they are not out of danger. One is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) while another is in a ward.

Monica’s wish is to have her twins put side by side next to her hubby’s grave. She does not have the financial resources to do so and is appealing to well-wishers to help her.
