KRA employees protest poor salaries, costly house rent

Employees of the Kenya Revenue Authority are protesting what they term as poor salaries and high house rent.

According to a report that appeared in a local newspaper on Monday November 13, 2023, the KRA employees at the taxman’s Times Tower headquarters are protesting over what they term as poor salaries and poor working conditions.

They also say that these struggles have been compounded by excessive demand for higher tax targets.

“The workers at Times Tower are staging a protest over what they alleged are substandard working conditions and poor pay while facing mounting pressure for higher taxes,” the newspaper report.
