KUCCPS opens portal for first revision of courses

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened its application portal for the first revision of applicants’ choices for placement to universities, TVET institutions, Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs), and the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).

The reopening of the portal will allow 2023 KCSE candidates to review and revise applications made in February and March. The portal opened on Monday will remain accessible until April 4.

“The target is applicants who have not secured any of their choices submitted in February/March 2024 and 2023 KCSE examination candidates with C+ and above who did not apply for Degree Programmes during the February/March 2024 application period,” KUCCPS stated.

The placement body further directed individuals who sat for KCSE from 2000 to 2023 and are yet to join a tertiary institution to take advantage of the application window to select their universities and colleges of choice.

The first application period took place between February and March this year where 2023 candidates who scored above C+ were able to make their applications.

KUCCPS explained that from the first revision, a number of students have already been placed in universities of their choice but they are yet to be informed for which course.

All students who made their applications during the first window have been advised to check on the status of their applications by accessing the student portal: students.kuccps.net.

Those whose application to a particular course was unsuccessful have been advised to apply for another course based on their KCSE results and the cutoff points.
