The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has revealed the leading oil marketers in Kenya and their market shares.
EPRA’s Energy and Petroleum Statistics Report for the 2024/2025 financial year revealed that there are 144 oil marketing companies operating in Kenya.
The Authority further revealed the top 19 companies that have dominated the country’s oil market.
In the list, Vivo Energy Kenya Limited, which operates under the Shell brand, emerged as the biggest player in the industry with a 21.34 percent market share, translating to total sales of 621,226.91 cubic meters.
Rubis Energy Kenya Plc came second with a 15.96 percent share, with sales amounting to 464,539.40 cubic meters.
Third on the list is TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya Plc, which holds a 14.53 percent share, with total sales of 422,882.76 cubic meters.
