A Kenyan nurse who has been missing for days has been found dead at a US International Airport.
According to the Massachusetts State Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney, the body of Maggie Mbitu was found in a car at the Logan International Airport garage.
Detectives have identified her partner, 40-year-old Kevin Kangethe, of Lowell as the prime suspect in the murder.
Kang’ethe is reported to have boarded a flight to Kenya from Boston. CBS News reported that Maggie Mbitu was stabbed and was found dead at the passenger’s seat.
The car where the body was found was in the Central Parking facility about 6:30 p.m on Wednesday.
“Mbitu was reported missing by her family on Monday. She was last seen leaving her job in Halifax Monday night. Her coworkers posted a flyer on Facebook, praying for her safe return,” the CBS News reported.

The news outlet further noted that the FBI has an international operations office in Kenya’s capital of Nairobi and quoted former FBI special agent Jennifer Coffindaffer saying that it’s likely agents are already communicating with local authorities to track down Kang’ethe and extradite him back to face his murder charges.
“The United States has an extradition treaty with Kenya, so things look very good in terms of Kenyan authorities cooperating,” Coffindaffer was quoted.
