Francis Murigu, the man who lived in cave has died weeks after Kenyans gifted him a new house. The news of his death were broken by MC Wanyoike wa Mugure who had also led the campaign that gifted the man and his son a newly built house.
“Why God my heart is very broken am just bleeding!…He slept during the day when his son went to wake him up he was no more….My heart is very broken,” said Wanyoike.
Francis Murigu was gifted the new house in September this year. It was claimed that Murigu had moved to the streets after developing mental problems.
It was alleged that his mental problems were part of the reasons his wife and other kids had forsaken him decades ago, leaving him to live in a cave with only one of his children.

After he was released from the hospital, Murigu was handed a brand new house, with some of his children joining him during the hand over ceremony.
