Military doctor shoots at Boda Boda rider: A military doctor who resides at the White House Estate in Syokimau, Machakos County opened fire at a casual Boda Boda rider after thinking that he was his daughter’s lover. The incident happened on Thursday 14th July 2022.
The Boda Boda rider, Wycliffe Atendo, apparently uses online taxi-hailing apps to get customers. He claims that he received a request from a client to pick her up at Kimathi street near a pharmacy.
He picked up his customer, a 21-year-old lady from Nairobi and the two made the 20-kilometer journey to Syokimau. On arrival, the man was met by a fit of anger from the daughter’s father.

“The duo arrived at the agreed address and as the woman was about to pay him, a man quickly emerged from the gate and gave her a beating, before showing her into the compound,” SAID DCI Boss George Kinoti.
After casually dropping off his customer awaiting payment, the Boda Boda man was contemplating his next move. That was when the military doctor showed up from the gate and whipped the girl before firing bullets toward the harmless rider. The Boda Boda rider wasted no time in fleeing the scene.
The rider immediately went to the Syokimau Police Station to record a statement and the officers present hurriedly drove to the Military doctor’s residence. The matter was also reported to DCI Boss George Kinoti.
Kinoti stated that the man was a military doctor who was armed with a Glock pistol and 42 rounds of 9mm caliber. The military man was arrested and handed over to the army for further action, per the military discipline practices.
